Theodore "Teddy" Caine is a character mentioned in Part Thirty Four of Malevolent Titled "The Butcher". While mentioned in passing he is one of the main protagonists in one of Malevolent's prequel series Call of Cthulhu The Witch's Mark. In it, Teddy Caine and Elijah Strong are given the case of finding Senator Andrew Christian's daughter.
Personality[]
Teddy Caine in the beginning of the series is described having met Elijah when he was a police officer as a young recruit "full of piss and vinegar". He's described as having a good heart and someone who wants to be there and get things done.[1] He is haunted by a case in which a girl jumped off of a bridge in front of him and he failed to save her.[2] Despite having worked together for so long Teddy and Elijah have not spoken to each other in much detail regarding their respective backgrounds.
Description[]

History[]
Teddy Caine first met Elijah Strong as a young recruit to the police force. He never quite made it onto the police force every year[4] and it was only when Elijah Strong retired that he and Teddy ended up working together. Elijah admits to having admired that unlike many other people on the force, Teddy has heart. At some point his wife has a miscarriage but the time this happened exactly is currently unknown.
